CAPPUCCINO |
|
Steam the milk before you
prepare the espresso.
1. Fill your cup or a small
metal pitcher with 3 oz. of cold milk. You can use low fat
(1%-2%) or whole milk. The lower the fat, the frothier the
milk will be. Whole milk will create a dense foam.
2. Lower the steam wand into the cup and press the button. When the foam has
reached the level you desire, (approximately double) press the button to stop
foaming. Do not allow the milk to boil.
3. Brew the espresso directly into the foamed milk, if you have foamed the
milk in your cup. Or, brew the espresso directly into a warmed cup and gently
pour the foamed milk over the coffee.
4. Be sure to run steam through the steam arm to clean out the milk and wipe
the steam arm with a clean non abrasive cloth.
5. Your cappuccino should be approximately 1/3 each of espresso, steamed milk
and froth.
